Eenvoud, evenwicht en kracht zijn de sleutelwoorden in het beeldhouwwerk van Nora Van Waeyenberghe. Vanuit een gedetailleerde observatie, met respect voor natuur, cultuur en met oog voor moderne en industriële architectuur, komt zij tot een strakke, symmetrische eenvoud die, door uiterst zorgvuldige compositie, de oneindig perfecte basisprincipes van deze werkelijkheid tracht bloot te leggen.
Zeer bewust, doordacht en met veel liefde, brengt zij verschillende materialen zoals Belgische blauwe hardsteen, ijzer en zwerfkeien die op een natuurlijke wijze in en bij elkaar passen, samen tot één geheel, waar ze moeiteloos in elkaar overvloeien, elkaar aanvullen en aanvoelen. Uitgezuiverde compositie van de sculptuur en pure vormgeving leiden tot rust en eenvoud. De speelse harmonie van materialen is in evenwicht waaruit de kracht van het NU in haar werk tot uiting komt.

The basic principles in the work of Nora Van Waeyenberghe are simplicity, balance and power. With respect for nature and different cultures and through a very careful observation of modern and industrial architecture, she creates a strictly, symmetric and peaceful artwork.
The composition exposes by means of reducing the form, eliminating ornament and superfluous detail, which results in a streamlined sculpture, that manifests purity of form and appeals to the senses.
With love and a great consciousness, she combines several materials, such as blue Belgian Stone, industrial iron and boulders. In an easy natural way, these assemblages are flowing in one another, completing and finding each other.
The peace of simplicity and the harmony of balance are giving birth to the power of the present in her sculptures.
